So since me and my girlfriend started dating 6 months ago, every now and then i have a dream in which i engage in sexual acts with other women. I always tell her, she gets upset, but she understands its only a dream and not reality. Last night I had one of these dreams and i woke up with precum in my boxers, so i guess i had a light "wet dream" of sorts. Anyways, what is the reason for this? I have NO intentions of cheating on her, im very committed. Is it just because im a teenage boy whose hormones are through the roof?

Its just hormones, im gessing most boys are going to be like this at some stage of they teenage life. shouldn't this go on puberty for boys though ? JW !

Well, first off: If it makes her upset, you don't need to tell your girlfriend about the dreams. Maybe you like to share your life with her, or you feel guilty about the dreams, but there's nothing wrong with having them and it's not something that you have to tell her about. If she didn't mind that'd be one thing, but if it bothers her to hear about it then just don't share it with her. That way, it won't upset her.
As Laura said, it's normal to have dreams like that. It doesn't mean that you're not really committed to your girlfriend or anything like that. Dreams are strange things, and they work in strange ways.

In a way it's a good thing you feel a guilty, to an extent, and it's a good thing you want to tell her but...you really have little control over your dreams. Sure sometimes they can tap into your sub conscious and sometimes they can be a reflection of what happened that day, but a lot of the time, they're nothing. Your a teenager, it's far from uncommon. You shouldn't get upset, and neither should she.

Dreams don't reflect reality.

this is the source of the problem.
stop it. you don't need to tell your girlfriend your every thought or dream. trust me, it's better off if we DON'T know because we're PROBABLY keeping things from you as well.

First off, don't blame yourself for having dreams of other women: You're 16 and the owner of a penis and a shit load of hormones. Do the math.
Secondly the stubbornest Freudians would agree that some dreams are random occurrences of what happened during your day, what you ate, hormones, etc, etc,.
And Thirdly you've already expressed your commitment to both yourself and your girlfriend. Don't let a dream change that.
Fourthly and finally, as Kale said, you don't need to share every dream and thought that arises in your mind with your girlfriend. That's probably not something you needed to share with her: you've already expressed your commitment to both yourself and your girlfriend. Don't let a dream change that. In fact sharing something like that would probably cause unnecessary worrying for her. Take it easy buddy. You're a nice guy :)

I've had bad dreams. Almost lead me to suicide.
