“No Daddy, it’s my DAUGHTER!”
The sun has just risen.
And I think it might be my last.
This pen is like my prison.
And soon it will be in my past.
The leaves are golden yellow.
And your apron is stained red.
Oh please won’t you be a kind fellow?
And not chop off my head?
The others are crying out.
Pleading for their lives.
You don’t know what the fuss is all about,
But all we see are your large knives.
The others are so naïve,
They think they can run.
But what I must do is deceive.
And stop what you have begun.
You are getting closer now,
And the dirt is turning crimson.
I must think of something, somehow.
Before I am so brutally beaten.
Why should I get to live?
Why should it be me?
A few good reasons, I shall give.
And then you will see.
I shall be spared,
When you hear me,
My independence will be declared.
This conversation doesn’t need to be bloody.
Your daughter loves me, don’t you see?
We have a special bond.
And this is my life’s plea,
We share a love, to infinity and beyond.
Your daughter will be unhappy.
This would be devastating to her.
She will become snappy.
And your family will begin to bicker.
Masen will hate you,
For killing her best friend
And that will just be a preview
Nowhere near the end.
She will cry and shout,
And hit you with a fly swatter.
And you will not know what it’s about,
Until she says “No Daddy! It’s my daughter!”
Could you live with eating me?
For your Thanksgiving dinner?
Even if you sold me to the city,
The money wouldn’t make you a winner.
There’s one reason to spare my life.
And if that’s not enough,
Before you reach for the knife,
Let’s talk about some more stuff.
-Not finished yet. For my English class. Assignment was to convince him not to slaughter us. The "No Daddy, it's my daughter!" does have some significance, but you wouldn't understand. (It's a joke, so it's meant to be funny) I'm having fun. :D
