I sure hope your computer takes DDR2... If your board has DDR installed on it, I really doubt it has compatibility for DDR2, but it could. Anyway, hope you know what you're doing :D

YOU DARE DOUBT ME! jk jk:D
Ya my board took the DDR2, why is DDR2 not a commen type of RAM? Also on the the thing about me knowing how to install it, it was my first time to install RAM, but it realy isn't that hard at all compared to some other things i have had to install on my computer. The only thing is that it says i have 0.99 Gb of RAM when i have 2 sticks of 256 and 1 stick of 512. Owell it 0.01 gb of ram dosen't realy mater i gusse.

when i upgraded to 1gb it said something like 996mb ram because it was shared graphics memory, so i took the graphics card out my dads computer and then it read 1gb :D its amazing the difference it makes!

DDR2 isn't a common type of RAM because it's an Intel-specific hardware - not to mention not every Intel board can accept it. But I'm glad that your RAM works :D

Dam, luckey. My comp only cost me $700 us, I couldn't afford, and stilll can't afford anything better. O well hopefully in a couple years i will have enough money to build one to my liking.
