"Popping your cherry" is just an expression, there's actually less to "pop" than most people think. What it refers to is some slight tearing of the hymen (a thick band of tissue near the vaginal opening), which may or may not happen during a girl's first time having sex.

If you're worried about this making you "not a virgin", relax. Some girls end up breaking their hymen using tampons or playing sports, so it's not even a good way to tell if a girl is a virgin or not. No guy is ever going to be able to notice it, either. Also, for the record, some girls don't experience any pain or bleeding during their first time having sex, and it doesn't mean they weren't virgins--so no matter what happens down the road, fingering yourself or using a tampon now won't really affect it. Also, experiencing less discomfort while masturbating doesn't mean a thing as far as "popping your cherry" goes.

As far as the cause of your bleeding, it's common for a little blood to come out after masturbating when you're on your period. You said it was "just ending"? Chances are that there was still a little blood in there, and you just sort of encouraged it to come out. Nothing to really worry about.
