She enters school by walking through the door,
She tours the halls and glances at her friends.
They smile at her as she walks the floor,
She wonders if the smile ever ends.
What lies beneath the grins that she must bare?
What do her friends really feel like inside?
She sees them all pretend they really care,
She wanders what they really have to hide.
She questions if they feel as they appear?
Are praises given to her really true?
She can’t see truth because it’s so unclear.
However there’s not much for her to do.
So when they stand there and hide all they lack,
I simply turn and give a smile back.
