Frozen in the dark light of the midnight
The child trudged on, unwillingly.
Lost in the shadows and overwhelmed by fright
The child trudged on, begrudgingly.

Forced to do what the midnight said
The child leaned over and touched the ground,
His head began aching, O the dread
The child fell over, how loud the sound!

Crash, tumble, crash, the child collapsed,
The midnight fell with him, straight into the asphalt,
The child kept wondering why time had passed
And left him alone in the midnight, so cold.

Out of the darkness, the child got up and opened his eyes wide
And just when he did he saw the true hue of the night sky.

I love sonnets :)

Very expressive poem, that goes for everything you write.
