Think I got ingrown toenail

In a nutshell, my toenail has been infected pretty much for 4 months (On and off infections that is), the toe is red, sore, and when the infection is up pus is usual, swollen. If I put peroxide on it the infection will go away for a few days, but then comes back, think it is ingrown?

I've had my fair share of ingrown toenails, and this sounds like one of them.
Definatly an ingrown toenail.

Does the shot they give hurt a lot? (I heard it did, and if you got this operation done how much worse was the shot than the average flu shot etc)

I had an ingrown nail. And it hurt like a bitch.
I took it out myself. I think it was from my running shoes.

Are you talking about the shots they give when the freeze the root?
Then the two on top doesn't really hurt at all.
The one on the bottom of the toe (Through the thick skin) hurt moderatly.
No worse than like stubbing your toe.
But it instantly goes numb, so it's cool. :p
