Im just wondering if you sing are you afraid to sing in front of your parents.


My friends think im a really good singer but I just cant seem to get the courage to sing in front of my parents.

I don't sing very often anymore, not in a deliberate sense anyway, but most likely because the songs I listen to these days are rather difficult to mimic accurately. I often find myself humming casually to a tune, however, and that can be alone or in front of anyone that is not a stranger.

But, certainly, I used to be shameless in displaying my imperfect voice, in public and private.

I don't like singing in front of my parents, but when I paly Rock Band sometimes, I'll be singing and my mom comes in my room and is like, "Oh, we've got a singer", and I'm just like"...."

I'm actually in training to be a professional singer (I'm a vocal major in college). I can sing in front of a group of people, but I do find it difficult to practice in front of anyone, let alone my parents. Practicing is awkward, but performing is great.

I can sing in front of large groups of people, or one person, but not in front of small groups of people if I can see their faces well...
