Okay, so i did a virus scan and I found several viruses in some jar.jar thing. Its in Application Data/Sun/Java/Deployment/Cache/javapi/v1.0/jar.

It said its in jar.jar-5a0ba3cf-375e3bea.zip and jar.jar-2583f9fa-41661cfa.zip. But I can only find these in the .IDX format. Any idea where i can get into the actual folder and manually delete these viruses?

I had the exact same virus. Get a virus scanner that'll tell you the complete path, then go in and delete it.

Go to My Computer >> SystemPartition (usually C:) >> Documents and Settings >> TheAccountYouWant >> Application Data >> Sun >> Java >> Deployment >> Cache >> Javapi >> v1.0 >> jar. You should be able to delete everything in there, as it's only temporary cache. If you didn't find anything or found the wrong things, you should switch TheAccountYouWant to a different account name.

If you still can't find it, maybe your antivirus deleted it or it might have gotten deleted on a reboot. Anyway, it's in a jar, which is simply a compressed java compilation. It cannot be executed, only opened. The things inside it might be able to be executed, but I don't see why they would be if nothing opens the jar files :)

The thing is, there is no Application Data folder there. Its funny, the only way I can get into it is Run>Application Data. I went in there, so I should just delete the IDX if i cant find the .zip?

The folder and file must be hidden.

Bring up an explorer window (like My Documents or something) Go to Tools >> Folder Options... >> View (tab) >> check the following: Display the contents of the system folder, Show hidden files and folders >> uncheck the following: Hide extensions for known file types, Hide protected operating system files.

This will not only give you access to view hidden folders, but it will also prep you for anything that I need you to do.

Now try doing what I posted before.
