Along The Winding Road

Along the winding road
With the twists and the turns
Head nods through no choice of it's own
Up and over hills you travel
Deep into the woodland
Submerged by the trees
Up above the dark blue sky you see
Slowly getting darker
Trees with leave so thick
Getting ready for the changing of the seasons
The rumble of the surface a you drive
Birds fly from all directions
Swaying in the wind the greenary shines
Roads so empty
Headlights glare a modest white
In front a hegdehog appears
Slam the brakes
Car screechs with wrath
Flung foward by force

I tend to have many visions when sitting inside a moving car, as well. Especially driving down a highway in the night. It's quite amazing.
