Acting More Straight

Hey, Im Bi but I have told like 2 people, but i think everyone in my year knows anyway. Most think Im either Bi or Gay, I don't think many think I am actually straight ( which I would prefer )One day I was whining to my gay friend about how much it sucks to be single and have no girls liking me in anyway other than friendship. I spoke to him about it and he said it's because I act camp. I try to act straight but I often sound camp as I am very interested in fashion and give advise to my friends who are girls etc. I would like to act more straight and would like to come across as straight other than Bi. Purely because I am more into girls than guys. Please help. Im not very physically strong, I don't do many sports like Football (Soccer) or Rugby and I doubt I am very good looking so maybe that's why. Plus I am a total odd-ball ^_^. But if anyone has had the same problem or has any advice on acting more straight, I would be really grateful. Thanks. Benny Chaotik

I really think you should just be yourself and everything would go good.

But, in order to answer your question, the best way to act straight is to be straight. You can't change who you are. It's like a banana trying to be an apple.

There is no legit answer to this, technically. Everyone who's straight has some form of difference that sets them apart. Otherwise all guys would be the same. I have been mistaken for gay SEVERAL times, and I'm straight, but I still give fashion tips and like jeans and stuff like that. That does not make me gay, and if other people think that they can shove it up their ass. Just be YOU. That's what makes you YOU. Like I said, if other people have a problem, that's their issue, let them deal with it and ignore them.

I'm crap at all sports and really good at music, classical music - violin, piano, organ and singing. That automatically makes me gay in some peoples eyes. Some people just have stupid ideas and prejudices and there's not much you can do about that.

That's right. You got to be yourself. I am straight acting, (not fem) and most of my friends thank that is who I am. Now for the flip side, someday I will come out or someone I have known and thought was straight as well will come out. You always can't tell a book by its cover anymore. Straight, Gay or Bi, we are all just bags of minerals existing on this planet.

umm my advice to u is not to try to act "straight" if u don't enjoy certain activities that are sterotyped as str8 then don't force urself into them

one thing u can do is learn to talk more like a straight guy...not a jock lol nobody likes those guys :p

but cut back on the "omg" and stuff

basically turn ur camp into cute and adorable...it's along the same lines so it's not all that hard

alot of girls appreciate guys who have good taste in clothes and style, and all girls like a guy who they can confide in and gives their honest, caring opinion

don't be afraid to hit on them either...in a non-creepy way....lol i assume ur a bit timid when it comes to that and being shy isn't a "macho straight guy" thing

but don't try to change u, lol ur awesome!

You sound pretty much the same as me except I like guys more and yeah, it definitely sucks. If you are going to change, do it for yourself and not for others. I'm trying to "cut back" on my campness too. Good luck :)
