But I'm not sure how, precisely. I get tired of the same 'I'm new!' threads and 'Welcome, you'll like it here' replies; I want my introduction to be different, yet it's difficult, because there is only so much to say, after all. It seems to be a problem I encounter everywhere, in 'real life' and otherwise, where I usually fail to make any first impression people at all, because I don't speak; and when I do, it's never the right words anyway.

I was previously a long-time member and moderator of a support forum for teens with depression, but it closed down for reconstruction apparently, and was never heard of since. I decided to go looking for another, perhaps similar community, after realizing that I missed that sense of fraternity which blossomed out of such dynamics. A group of strangers coming together to share their most intimate thoughts, the bonds formed are quite amazing.

I would like to meet like-minded people, something that seems to come very rarely to me outside of the internet. It gets very frustrating, often, when the only people whom one is close enough to talk to, just happen to be ones who will listen attentively for hours yet have nothing insightful to contribute in return, due to lack a of understanding of where one is coming from.

I think I've said enough for now. I'll be around.

Ooh, well hello and welcome to VT, you'll like it here! ( ;) ).

But really, I am sure you will find some like-minded individuals here. I can relate in the way that I've had a hard time finding anyone I really click with 'in real life', and thus I use the internet as a refuge and a place to talk with others who I can really *talk* to.

Sounds like you're already well-versed in the ways of teen help forums, so you'll do great here and be a nice addition. Just... watch out for P101, it'll melt your brain. :P
