OK, I could not find any blank disk laying around the house...besides some DVD-R ones. I was going to burn some music files onto it to play on my cd player at night...well i burned the files using WMP and it failed on the cd player...

just for those who might try it:D

Well, no duh. DVD+/-RW are unable to be read on a CD player, even if it has audio files on it. You could obviously do this and put the DVD in your player and just go from there. That's what I do.

But, CDs can go in DVD players.
Damn technology, always not doing what we want it to!

There is a MASSIVE difference between CD's and DVD's. CD's hold 700MB, DVD's (single layer) hold 4.7GB. The 'tracks' of information on a DVD are much narrower than those of a CD, requiring a more focused laser to read them. For that reason, a CD player will not read a DVD.
