To what? you have to explain what your asking.

If your talking about people replying to your thread or more people replying to a thread you've replied to then normally no, a message isn't sent to you, you just check the thread.
However, when you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.
