I'm thinking around 13 that's probably the common age that most people start. Just like someone else said start when you both feel comfortable. i personally started when i was 15 and my friend was 16 but whenever your ready.

This is awkward, I know of kids doing things (innocently) at around 8/9. Personally I think thats too young. About 12/13 would be the average I suppose, regardless it's whatever age you feel is Ok.

I was 11 and I was fine, but I'd imagine that there are fifteen year olds that'll be ready sometime but aren't yet - there's no set age - whatever feels comfortable.
