What do people mean when they kept denying their gay thoughts because i thought if you were gay the thoughts would not go away.

How can someone ignore the fact that they're gay? ( not that i am but i see threads where ppl put that they denied it for years.)

They just deny it. Until one day, they finally learn to accept it.

they refuse to believe that they could be gay. Um maybe its because of their religion, parents, any number of things could effect why you are denying it.

First off Poster above me has a great name.
Secondly, look at today's society. Gay's don't have it very good lately. Fighting for their right to marry, dealing with offensive comments, religious intolerance because of their sexual orientation. Its difficult, give them a break.

its easier to be in denial..
being gay doesn't go away, no matter how much "therapy" or repression anyone tries. But hiding it can be possiable for some people.

idk if i'm allowed to do this but i want to piggyback on my question and ask is it possible for a gay person thats in denial be turned off by guys as a reaction of his body's to the fact that he doesn't want to be gay?

;678525']its easier to be in denial.
I can see where you're coming from, but I actually disagree with that. The real reason is because of the fear of rejection an the consiquences that come with it, but being in denial and exercising repression eats away at you, so no ~ it isn't easier.
Just seems more acceptable to society...

Well, the fact that lots of people hate gays for no reason might factor into it.
