Cold is the appropriate company for someone of my nature.
It is of the heart that may never function,
The will which may never endure is the clincher,
But this is certainly not for me an unction.

As I lay and gaze out at the emptiness,
My window open wide, though not like my soul,
I realize things are more than just blackness
But they die with a grand exit, out goes the final coal.

So what is the point to make such an effort
If this oblivion is all I will ever hope to know?
For surely you understand I may not share this hurt
Since you believe that the insignificant better such woe.

My reason why I will not even attempt
To explain all that of which my being is made,
You see, lies in those who deem themselves exempt
From the ideal world which many seem afraid.

If one may even begin to understand the matter,
We have to tread lightly, dare not be heard.
See, I am condemned to never raise the banner.
This misfortune being caused by state of wayward

And even then, if we safely complete this task,
Acceptance is one thing which will not be exchanged
Since it is certainly too much to ask
For once, even briefly, to not be as estranged.

So with my inability to fully explain,
Even though this could be so easily avoided,
There is naught I shall ever hope to gain,
Sadly, with this one thing I lose, all shall be ended.

This is an interesting piece which can be interpreted many ways.
You did a good job allowing the reader to relate to the poem though I feel your vocabulary could use some adaptation.
Great vocab, just not so appropriately used.

Overall it's a great piece; very thought provoking.
