Omnomnom, looks good Nick but maybe the use of smart sharpen in ps would add to them?
Also, do you shoot in raw?

Thankyou for your comments, appreciated.
Now, for David and anyone else thats interested, these photos were all shot in raw and post processed using Capture One. Although I was sufficiently happy with some of my photos today to post them above, overall it was a disappointing shoot and I would agree with David's implied criticism that many of the photos are not as sharp as I would like. I think there are several reasons for this, including:-
I was using wide appertures all day
All the shots were done with a long lens, there may be some camera shake
I was in a short of careless mood really
Also in some of the shots done through cages the autofocus was focussing on the bars of the cage and not the animals behind, it took me quite a while to work that out.
Photo 1 above was through a cage none of the others are, photo 5, the leopard, was through reinforced glass.
I dont have CS4 as I cant justify the cost, only elements. I dont usually like the results of its sharpening.
Oh and Sam, if you should see this, I was thinking of you during the day, feeling close geographically, so you can guess where these were shot.

Many thanks to everyone for the kind comments, very much appreciated. The entire set has been replaced on flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/nickf93/sets/72157622557162631/) and a few more photos have been added.

I think they're amazing Nick, the lemur and leopards were my favourites before I saw the edited shots, and seeing the new edits I do think they've been improved. Great work :)
