Well, I've decided to try shrooms. Me and my friend are doing them on halloween, in his house. I was just wondering, what's it like and are there any precautions I should take befors doing it? Also, don't say "Don't do it" because I won't listen, my mind's made up.

Always have a partner or two with you who aren't doing shrooms so they make sure you don't do anything crazy. Doing it alone or with people who are doing it without any supervision is just a bad idea.

Agreed, have someone who's going to stay clean hanging out with you. You never know how you're going to react, and especially since its your first time you should have someone there just in case.

An obvious precaution, but I'll say it anyways: Know what you're eating. As in, know it's the right plant. Do your research, know what it should look like. There;s no point in just assuming it's the right one, because plenty of people pick the wrong plant and thus either find that it has no effect or that it makes them rather ill. I'm going to refer you to this post (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showpost.php?p=636145&postcount=6) for a quick overview of poisonous fungi, and a general description of what liberty caps are supposed to look like.

I'm not agreeing with your decision to just go out and eat some shrooms, but if you're going to then you need to at least be as safe as possible.

The mushrooms you're looking for should ideally be dry with a blueish tinge to them. That identifies psilocybin mushrooms. Be careful, there's lots of types of mushrooms and choosing the wrong one could be as meaningless as a waste of your money or could be outright dangerous. Having a sober person there with you is fairly important if you're inexperienced, but I see you've got that handled, so you should be all right. Remember to be in a good frame of mind for the trip - it's all mental.
