During high school years we have to juggle at the least : guardians, our health, and grades. At the most we juggle: Peers, friends, clubs, volunteer, grades, teachers, parents/guardians, technology, latest news and etc.
Now although some may say some isn't necessary people do find it neccesary.
Now with all this to juggle we have something else, a test called the SAT and for some another test called the ACT. But wait! we have something else...funding for college. Some people may have to pay over 200,000 for a full 4 years of college if they are accepted. That is a house, or even 8 cars and a tv in 3 of them. OH but more! Scholarships and if you do get a full one your set for college, a regular scholarship partialy for college and none...you gotta pay.
College is a this place we go to so jobs look at us and say "yea their a good canidate. Bring them in!"
This is going to get worse and worse as we have a recession now, and who knows what will happen to money and all its worth. College could bump it self to over 1 million for four years.
All this pressure is causing alot for teenagers. Some give up, some try harder, some drive them selves crazy.
Do you think this an effective way to weed out who is good for college and who isnt? In college u have more stress and more to deal with. You think bombarding teen with all this will help tell who can handle it, who can struggle for the success, who can try and succeed? and those who give up, quit and drop out or skate by on a barely passing average?
(I thought of this because im a junior and im sturgguling a bit in highschool at first but im getting better, while others arent. )

School and college are stressful because life is stressful. If you can't handle getting homework every night, there is absolutely no way you will survive in a well-paying job.

School and college are nothing compared to real life. It really is getting you ready for your adult life.

I also do think it is good to put the pressure on teens to find who has the drive and determination to actually succeed at life and weed out the slackers and the people who can't handle the pressure. It seems a little harsh, but this world really is survival of the fittest...and the stress placed on teens in school and college is just a small taste of the stress you will experience during your adult life.
