question re penis color

You know, this is actually a good question. Perhaps I could be wrong here, but when you think about it one's penis usually doesn't get much, if any, natural light. As a result, I would think that the skin down there probably reflects the lack of light along with it most likely being constricted due to it usually being surrounded by underwear?

I'm not sure why the penis is can be different to your whole body, but why do you care? a penis is a penis, use it for the purpose it's there, like it, maybe love it

That doesnt make sense to me, if that was the case then not only your penis but also the rest of your groin area would be the same colour too.

The answer is simply because there is more pigment (melanin) in the skin of the penis. There isn't any interesting answer here, it's just an evolutionary trait that has no purpose (there are a few of those on the human body).

Also, less sun generally means the skin is more pale, not darker.

EDIT: There also is the fact that the skin on the penis is thinner, and thus the color can be more influenced by what the skin is covering. The tissue inside it is very likely a more dark color, which can also affect it.
