I heard about how Apple was releasing it to other companies (because Verizon has better 3G). So I hope I can get it :D

It's not that Verizon has better 3G service (I believe they have less 3G-speed coverage actually (I know they run the 3G protocol in a wider area, but it's not at full 3G speed)), it's that AT&T's network is swamped with all the dumbass little bandwidth-hogging apps for the iPhone.
Back before the iPhone was released, AT&T's internet was blazing fast, 10-12MBit/s easily on a good day. Now it's down to like 1-3MBit/s.
This issue WILL happen on ANY network the iPhone is released to.
Only so much stuff can be put down the intertubes, and the tubes are almost full.

So thats why AT&T's network sucks ass. I thought they were just lazy assholes.

I just got my first phone hardly a month ago... So I'll not likely grab one of these (or any new phone) for at the very least a year and a half or two years.
