Im thinking of making a forum to fill my free time with. But I have no idea what people would look for in a forum.

My question for you:

What do YOU go to a forum for.
Please dont hold back. (unless it breaks the rules)

If you have more then one reason. Do them all.
Please it can be anything, if its games tell me. ect.

I go to forums specifically relevant to my interests, i.e., forums that would contain a community of web developers, programmers, etc.

The other reason I go is simply to talk to people, in a setting that feels good and professional. Pretty key in that instance is a large amount of people, else I get bored fast.

I go to forums that contain a wide range of tech/science related content (Eg. my forum, http://forums.societyunderground.net/ (Not an advert)).
Basically, a forum that isn't too specific (Like a single game based forum, or a single band based forum), but not something too broad (Like a forum for a certain country, or an entire genre of music).
