pet forums?

just a little suggestion here, do not know how many pet people we have on here but it would be kind of nice to have a small pet forum for stuff like dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, etc...

We've tried pet forums.
Twice.

Once was a user who was banned, so his forum went away

Then me and caitlin (Techno Monster) tried to keep one up, but it failed eventually.

There isn't much demand for it.

Am i the only one who gets rather bored when people talk about their pets and show pictures of them?
Think about the kind of threads that would be in it
-Pictures of your pets
-What kind of pet do you have?
-What pet should i get?
In my opinion it would be really dull. I wouldnt post in it.

Social groups are perfect for this. You can have discussion threads and easily share and link pictures to groups.

*fish (marine, freshwater, fungi, etc...)
*exotics
*pictures
*small and furry (mice, chinchillas, hamsters, etc...)

I remember what Gwyn mentioned about when she and Caitlin tried this out, they had a diary together all about pets for a while, and it really wasn't utilized enough. (Clearly, because they don't run it anymore. xP) A social group is a great idea, though. I'd join one if there was one. In fact maybe I'll make one, if you guys think you can deal with that and no one else beats me to the punch.

No matter how close you are to animals, it gets tedious after 5 minutes.

It would cool to see this as a forum, but now we have a social group for it. Besides, it's better to have it a social group. If a pets and animal forum were to be created, I would think it would be perfect in General Discussions, but I don't see any demand for it. It would be useless to create a forum without the demand.
