Hi.....I'm glad i found this forum.

I share a room with my little sister Amy.

About 8 months her journey with puberty began. Every night I would watch her stand in front of the mirror and admire her little bumps.
Her breasts have now become very pointy looking and she is complaining about those stabbing itchy growing pains.

So I suggested that she should start rubbing Palmers cocoa butter on them, just as i did when i went through that stage. She says it's has helped alot and now she has also started rubbing cocoa butter all over her entire body just before she goes to bed. I know its really good for the skin because I also use it every night on my body.

It was my Dad that first suggested that i use Palmers cocoa butter back when i was going through that awkward stage of breast developement, and to his credit it really helped. But lately I have seen her rubbing onto her private parts as well. I told her that by doing this she may get an infection down there, like a yeast one. I maybe wrong.

I have searched online but cant seem to find any info about the usage of cocoa butter on that part of the body. Our Dad said it should be ok as long as she wasnt sticking her fingers inside.

We dont have a Mother to turn to for advice so when Dad cant answer a question I turn to the internet for answers.
I also asked a few of my friends but they dont know because they have never used it at all.

Any help would be apreciated, thanks.

She'll be fine. If she's getting excessive amounts inside, it could cause irritation or possibly a yeast infection, but using any sort of lotion down there should be fine as long as it's external.

Yeah, as the post says above, as long as she's not putting it IN her vagina, she'll be fine.

It should be fine as long as it's external as it usually says on the back of the bottle. 'External use only' It says it for a reason (: Infections may occurr.

Thnks for you replies.

Its good to know I have somewhere to get advice from.

Seems like I was right, so I have told my sister, I just hope she listens.

This is a good place, thanks.

You seem like a good sister Narelle, even a motherly figure to her, remember to give her some space though and watch what you say to her! ;) Enjoy your stay at VT!
