Try Googling around for it. Though if you plan to use your own computer as a proxy, then it will probably be incredibly slow...

Not quite sure what you mean, but I recall my internet trying to detect proxy settings... Well just google it like Kiros said, or go to a pure computer forum and ask there maybe.

Could you give me the information page (project page), itself? That might have an explanation as to why it won't work.

ok in looking for the project page I found out y it won't work. I was trying it one a free webhosting server. And apparently fee webhosting servers have safe mode turned on, an in order for this script to work safe mode has to be turned off. So if anybody wants to use their webserever as a proxie you can probly get this to work.
P.s. dose anybody know of a free webhosting server that has safe mode turned off.

Reviving somewhat old-ish posts.. I have that poxy installed on my webserver, you can check it out at http://jarred.brentp.net/scripts/phpoxy/
There are many other alternatives.. You could use a CGI Proxy, Google "The Circumventor" without quotes. There is a guise to install a CGIProxy software on your computer. Of course it doesn't go further into whether you have to open ports etc. But it tells you exactly what you need and what to do with it.
There's also a proxy in Ruby on Rails (http://www.rubyonrails.com) that you can use, but I only recommend it if you've had some experience with RoR. If you want to give it a go, PM me.

What do you mean by limit? You could directly edit the CGI of course.

Limiting things like scripts, ActiveX, etc. is up to the software. Since I've never used it, I wouldn't know much about it... sorry. :|

Well I went around cleaning up my hosting and stuffs yesterday and I managed to get that CGIProxy half working, but It didnt want to load pages right.
http://jarred.brentp.net/bin/php/proxy/ is the other alternative if you still want to use the PHP Proxy on my hosting, which works alot better than the CGIProxy In my opinion.. if you still want to go with setting up the CGIProxy on your computer with the Circumventor, give me a shout.
