The place I stand,

So the last week, hm, what happened, I and the girl I liked had a fight OVER the other fight, so badly that I needed help, so I requested for a teacher of mine to read the text I had written to see if it suitably fitted what I was trying to express, She had helped me before when I needed a text analysed for "tone" because it had a double meaning, but anyway, what happened was that she gave me the answer I needed,

The teacher read a fragment of a conversation that including self harm references however, so I was referred to my guidance teacher, I was therefore forced to tell my mother who took it badly...banded me form being on here.
I was then referred to my GP for questioning.

Anyway here's the question, I have been refered to a clinic in knightswood by my doctor, so if I am "aproved" as a "case" what might I expect from these chaps, what will it be like.. gernaraly speeking.?

They would just want to talk to you about yourself, nothing to to worry about really. Go for it, take whatever help is on offer.

Basically they will just talk to you about yourself and your life and what makes you want to cut.
They will help you in quitting self-harm, which is definately a good thing!

Yeah, the first one they will basically just want to find out abit about you. They might ask you what you think about when you cut, how you feel when you do it and before you do it and after it. Umm, they'll probably ask about your personal life too.

But listen, tell them everything! Only when they know everything is when they can really help you. If your keeping something from them then they can't help in that area. Also, it's just a waste of your time and their time cos you will be getting nowhere holding things back.

Also, remember, it's their job to listen to you and help you. So don't feel like your wasting their time, think about it this way ... If people with problems didn't go to them they wouldn't have a job. Thats how I try to think because I always think that i'm wasting their time etc...

Oh, and also if your not comfortable or happy talking with a certian person, ask to change i'm sure they will. You need to be able to trust in them etc...

Ok update!
I've been given an apontment at the clinic for the 6th of november, I've also been seeing the school counilor too, which helps quite alot I'll be seeing her on wedensdays from now on, thats about it...
