So I went out and got a laptop today. It has Vista installed, like most new laptops these days, and - what do you know, I'm already having problems with it.

I can connect to our wireless network fine, and for a bit everything goes smoothly. Then a couple minutes later, it all begins to go super slow, until I'm forced to reconnect. None of the other computers in this house have a problem with it, so it's not a problem with the router. Anyone have any idea what the issue could be?

I know this probably isn't the answer, but its the only thing I can think of now. Are all your drivers updated?

The computer just came out of the box, did its whole setup thing, etc. The weird thing is really that it starts fine, but then the connection slowly dies.

Google search the make and model number of your wireless adapter and download the drivers for windows Vista. You may have old/generic drivers.
