The answer is yes. You get what you pay for with Xbox LIVE. Witha gold subscribtion, you can access: Games on Demand, Game Demos, Game videos, Xbox LIVE Party sstem(up to eight players talking to each other at once on any game),Private chat, game events, like play with the developers of a game, Netflix, and soon to be Facebook, Twitter, LastFM, and someothers like Videos on Demand, and such. And, those game you have a lot of people play, as well. You could consider getting one year because it's a really good deal, for American's it's like $50.00 a year, or something like that. I think you get a gold one-month just by making an account, anyway. So you can try it free, I think.

hmmm, well maybe i'll try the free version first, then see how it goes. problem is though it would have to be a wireless connection, so i would have slow speeds.

With the games you have, I highly recommend live it will make it alot more fun. And BFBC is sweet on live.

I started off with wireless and switched to an Ethernet cord. Wirless isn't bad but there is a differnece in speed and sometimes you'll lag out. That's why i used a cable, so if you can use the cable.

I use wireless all the time, and I barely lag, ever. It just depends on your connection. But, if you have an ethernet cable, you have a pure connection so you barely ever lag, though.

You should get live, and also if your router/modem is close to your xBox, use an Ethernet cable, unless you REALLY want to be able to use your computer while on Live.

U should, online is a ton of fun on COD4, COD5, BFBC, and Gears, never tried Far Cry 2, and u also get 1 free month of live when u make an account, u can do this 3 times. And it's only $50-$60 a year, that's like how much someone spends on gas in a week, maybe even in a few days. So it's pretty much nothing.
And u should get an cable if ur modem isn't far away. always used one and even though i have a sub par connection, I'm still fine most of the time, depends on location, if u live anywhere in Eastern North America, u should be 100% fine. Never tried the wireless thing, so I can't help u there.

most definitely. xbox live is the best online system out of 360, ps3, and wii. sure you have to pay for it, but you do get what you pay for. Its absolutely superb. hardly any lag, loads and loads of epople to play with, the marketplaceplace... start with 3 months and see how it goes. or do it direct from the 360 itself and get like a month or so
