I lied. I met someone and when he ask me out i said yes when i knew i was dating another guy.. now tonight i told him everything i feel horrible ik what i did was wrong now he hates me ...so now i broke up with my bf because it just don't feel right i feel like what i did to the other dude won't get out of my head...when i talk to him i just can hear his voice crack... what should i do should i leave him alone give him space? I really want him back i even broke up with my bf for him..idk what to do i know i should of never cheated ik its not right but it was like i was two different people..i feel like my dad i disgust my self

umm sounds to me like u may not be ready for a serious, committed relationship with anyone yet....u lied about being single, lead the guy on, then were very willing to break up with ur bf, i think u need to take some time and think about why u want a relationship and what having one actually entails.

but hey., everyone makes mistakes, just make sure u learn from them

first i'd figure out for urself why u lied, if ur ready for a relationship ect....then try explaining what u learned from ur self-analysis to that guy, so he can understand that u were just being an ass, try having a friendship with the guy first, establish a bond before dating, then when ur ready to date, u'll b able to handle urself and ur emotions and have a pre-existing bond with him to fall back on shud things get rocky

mate, your dad is another person. lose his shadow, you're not him.

as for the mess up: you learned an important lesson and you're a better person for it. you can't undo things and there's so much you can do to apologise. time out is what you both need.

that said, you do have currency in this: you left your bf for him. if he's decent, he'll understand that it was quite the leap of faith you made for him. the least he can do is give you the benefit of a doubt.
