I need some advice if I should apologize to my English teacher. He was a little late going to the classroom and the door was locked. A bunch of kids and me were waiting outside the door. I was right in front of it. I was just joking around and I said to a kid next to me ... Wouldn't it be great if somebody from the office comes up and says, I sorry Mr. Saltzman is dead. Just a second after I said it, an arm comes over my shoulder and opens the door with a key. It was Mr. Saltzman. He just stared at me but didn't say anything. He's a mean guy normally but i didn't really want him to be dead. I also don't want to get an F in that class if I can help it. What should I do?

Never mention it again, ever. Chances are you'll both forget about it.

This is one of these things that's best resolved by just moving on and sweeping it under the rug. As for failing his class, I doubt he'd do it because of what you said. My cousin complains to me over and over about how she doesn't do great in her classes because the teacher hates her. The teacher may indeed hate her, however, I then find out that her doing poorly on tests and assignments but not wanting to admit it right away is the problem.

I don't think hes allowed to fail you for saying something. Maybe he thinks you didn't mean it? Just don't bring it up, but be careful for what you say while at school. Try and also be as polite and helpful in his class as you can. Try hard, and if he does fail you, bring it to the principal.

Unless you actually did get poor grades and failed the class, of course. If you do well in projects and make it seems as though you genuinely care about the class, he shouldn't have reason to hate you. I'm sure he hears teenagers say stupid things in the hallways every day he goes to work.

just dont metion it to him again. if he fails you and you actually tried really hard, then like lost and confused1 said, bring it to the principal.
