Is it worth it? I'm sick of the biased reviews!

I know the Palm Pre is not exactly hot news, but I'm curious. I finally convinced my dad to let me switch to ATT and get an Iphone, it turns out my contract won't be up until 2010, and my moms (family plan) won't be up till 2011 (poor research on my part). So I'm sick of the biased reviews, and can't tell what actually goes on. So what do you suggest, is it to slow, or to complicated? Is it worth the cost (I'd be getting it at 150)? Does it deserve the title Iphone killer? My dad's a little iffy on getting me a data plan, any good points that could help me convince him, or even general thoughts? Thanks for the help!

Eh....I have heard it is slow.
However, If you decide to switch to T-Mobile, the Mytouch 3G is an excellent iphone killer, it has more free apps for it than the iphone does.

Yet the Iphone has much more popularity. It's hard too choose because all company's have some really cool phones.

Well that's the thing, unfortunately I'm stuck with sprint. The Iphone is in a class all of its own I think, but is the Palm Pre a good contender? I'm not really sure what I'm comparing it against, I just dont want ot get to find out it's terrible and a pain in the ass.

I have, but I'm yet to find some normal joe that actually has the phone. From what I've looked into it looks good, and hopefully if I get it next weekend it will turn out good.
