I really love the Philip Pullman "His Dark Materials" trilogy of books. For me its fantastic story telling with such vivid imagination. Its a combination of fantasy, adventure and also in the end a moving love story.
I guess some people are uncomfortable with Pullmans anti-church and anti-religious attitude. It doesnt bother me, he's entitled to his view.
Just wondering who else has read these books and whether you love them like I do.
I gather the 2nd and 3rd books are not going to be made into films in the near future because The Golden Compass bombed in america.
