some of my close friends and family say its all in my head! like a placebo effect! i believe in the diagnosis but i wont use ADD as my crutch! do you agree?

While ADD is probably over prescribed it is not a mental thing unfortuanly it is real

It just makes you lack attention span. Thank your lucky stars you don't have adhd. Im add, medicated and lead a really normal life

I believe ADHD is a real diagnosis with a physical element to it (i.e. neurological, environmental, genetic and so forth).

I agree. It is probably over prescribed and unfortunatly doctors just pass out medications. They should find other things that would help the problem. Like productive activites.

ADD isn't JUST about lack of attention span.
I have ADHD (combined) & It's not a mental thing.
It's real & it can destroy lives in severe cases.
