Denial

Hey, I friend of mine has Schizophrenia and he has been diagnosed with it. But he keeps denying it, is that a symptom of it?

My mom denied hers, so I'm sure it's common.

Who would want to admit it. It makes other people look at you differently.

When people have a mental disorder it might make them feel like they are a "freak". So a lot of them deny it to make them selves feel normal.

I do that to strangers. They don't need to know I'm mental.
