Tonight, for the first time, my boyfriend called himself fat. He's skinny as a pole, has absolutely no muscle development, and even admitted to me that he "used to be kinda anorexic" and that his doctor has told him to eat more. I love him so much, and would be totally and utterly hopeless without him. How can I help him with this?

Explain to him how much you care about him. That is important to you and that if he starts again it would truely break your heart. It can be hard to deal with someone with this because of the way they see themselves. Just try to let him know that you care too much about him and tell him that there is no way he is fat. If you can try to show him and explain that he isn't fat. It's a tough situtiation that relies on be able to convince him against his own self image. Do your best and don't give up on him.
I hope that he doesn't start to become annorexic again and I wish you both the best

Okay connor, well try to explain to him that what he is doing is totally wrong. he shouldnt let himself down so much, its not good for your mind. ANd try and just comfort him and make him feel special. Try and get him to eat more and if needed take him to the doctor to try and get professional help if he doesn't himself.
Good luck man, all the best. Aaron

I know how hard it can be to bring something like this up to someone you care so much about. Just try to focus on how much you care and how important it is to the both of you that he stays well. Good luck and I'm always here if you need/want any help
