Big deal, but the news has to act like massive corruption took place. They placed Wii on the job. Police officers are always bullshitting while on the job. The MSNBC people blew it out of proportion and hopefully the officers are not disciplined.

I agree that this isn't some sort of massive scandal, but I should think it would be understood as a general rule that you don't arrest someone and then spend the afternoon playing the man's video games. They shouldn't have even turned the TV on, they were there to do their job not to play Wii Bowling. I'm sure it didn't take up hours of extra time, considering that it appears only one or two were standing in front of the TV at a time, but it's still not their job to play games instead of searching the house.
"Alright, we have our search warrant, let's get this done.... oh, dude, this guy has a Wii? I wonder what games he has... ah, bowling, sweet! Screw doing our job, let's play!"

sounds like a good way to have fun, but i have a relative in the force and it takes up to 12 hours to search a house and most of that is doing nothing so they got nothing better to do.

That is true, a lot of time does go into nothing during searches anyway. I don't see any harm in it.
Now can you all imagine how much better this story would be if they were playing a shooting game? :D
