King of Staten Island. It's a semi-autobiographical story by the comedian, Pete Davidson. In real life, his Dad, who was a New York City fireman, died on duty on 9/11. The film is excellent, though at times the feeling that somethings are very close to the actual truth, can be a little unsettling. I watched it with Mum and we both came away feeling it was moving and funny, and certainly worth recommending to others.

Well for one, it is FOUR HOURS LONG. :P
If you might remember Zack Snyder had to leave production because of death of his daughter. :( So they brought in Joss Whedon, who scrapped most of it and reshot his own stuff. Well, this one scrapped the Whedon stuff and put in the originally shot stuff. It really is a whole different movie.

Kinda reminds me of Superman II vs Superman II: The Donner Cut, those are totally different movies as well, with exception of a few scenes, although the circumstances around the change of director can't be compared.

Haven't seen that. Is it for the better? Worse? Same?

I like it, but the original Lester version is the one I've seen most times, and the one I'm used to, but the Donner cut is really interesting, although many of the scenes are a bit rough, as they haven't been edited much, just put in there, so to speak. :) But it's well worth a look, and I honestly can't say which one I like the most. Some things worked better in one version and vice versa.

Of course another big difference between circumstances here is the original Superman 2 was a legit good movie. :P justice league was a low bar. xD

I can recommend it.
Yeah, it's tough to beat the originals. I haven't seen Justice League myself yet, and I won't judge it before I have, but I doubt that I'm gonna be here with sore eyes after watching FOUR BLOODY HOURS of overly epic superhero stuff, and be like "Oh, that was sooo better than the old ones!" :P

Yea so thankful it is streaming!! It is always difficult to judge when to duck out for a bathroom break. :lol3: oh they stopped to do some talking. *sprints out of theater*

Yeah there's no way I'd be able to handle that, I was proud of myself to hold it through the last few movies I saw in a theater, they were "only" about 2,5 hours long.

Thank you for letting me know. I think I will ask my moms bf about watching it if it is a rental somewheres. A pound of butter and a 5 gallon bucket of popcorn and Im all set.

Thirteen at Dinner, a movie adaption of Agatha Christie's "Lord Edgware Dies" from 1985, starring Peter Ustinov as Poirot (WTF?) and David Suchet as Inspector Japp (Seriously, WTF???). It was interesting, but the casting is messed up. xD

That would be so confusing David Suchet alway plays Poirot :)
