Princess Mononoke - Studio Ghibli movies are the best!

I absolutely agree, and I've seen that movie, its amazing:)

Just watched 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' with my cousins today. It wasn't disappointing at all. It was preeetty good. (not that any movie can disappoint me, I can always find the positives:P)

"The Hateful Eight"-- it was soundly mediocre. I was expecting a grand western with biting Tarantino dialogue, more in line with a play like "August: Osage County". Instead, it was more of a cliched character mashup with very little substantive dialogue. It was still expertly directed and the 70mm Panovision was a nice touch, but it was certainly not on the level that I have come to expect from Tarantino.

The Big Short-- it was by far the best film I have seen all year. It had great performances by Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell, Brad Pitt, and Christian Bale just to name a few. It was surprisingly funny and informative about the economics behind the housing bubble and how people were able to predict the crash of the housing market. I cannot recommend this film enough.

I *think* it was Foreign Correspondents on Netflix.

It was pretty cool. The camerawork was, in my opinion, seeming amateur, like many of the Netflix Originals. And the storyline... it seemed like a very tame buildup to a short burst of excitement that wasn't very in-depth at all. Otherwise it was okay.

Also it was funny seeing Eric Bana, an Australian comedy actor who for so long was taking the piss with horribly put-on American accents on TV programmes of the time (pre-2000, i.e. Fast Forward, Full Frontal), seeing him seriously portray the role of an American dude.

7/10.
