Probably one of the worst movies ever in my opinion. Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory was a classic... Now they just made it into a load of cr*p givin Willy Wonka all these retarded one-liners to say...

I watched it as Willy Wonka use to be one of my favourite movies.. and Iwanted to see how good of job they did of the movie... they didn't..

well, I think the new one was more geared towards the younger audience. I watched it with my cousin (the five year old devil child who is insane :P) and hated it. She liked it though.

I love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Not to get into a debate here, but it was much better than the original, music wise, directing wise, look wise, acting wise... Johnny Depp is one of the coolest actors ever, and he and Tim Burton paired up always make the best movies ever (except for the disappointing Corpse Bride) Deep Roy is my favorite dwart EVER. Danny Elfman is GENIUS.

I think that charlie and the chocolate factory and willy wonka and the chocolate factory are 2 very different movies that you really can't compare.

ones: a musical family movie the other: a zany comdey

while neither on is better (in my humble opinion) one does do some things better then other.

for those who loved genre wilder (sorry if i spelt his name wrong) light hearted Wonka and classical movie sing songs-there will always be willy wonka and the chocolate factory. while for those who wanted a slighty different/darker/werider comedy then burtons film is better.

so don't complain be pleased that now 2 completely different audiences can enjoy the great story
