I've noticed that bumped threads are quite a problem.
Do you think that somewhere, you could put the date the thread was posted.
Like a 9/18/09?
Yes?
No?
Maybe so?

Seems like a good idea, it would greatly reduce forum spam.

The thing is, I wouldn't know where to put it.

The time and date for each post in any given thread is given (including the origincal post) so what is it you are asking for that isn't already provided?

Outside the thread.
Because they don't check the dates. They just read and post.
Maybe if the date were put on the title of the thread.

Well, it doesn't matter when a thread was started, just the date of the most recent post before the bump, and it doesn't take much work to look at that last post. After all, one has to scroll down to the bottom to type a response in anyways. Also, when you see a thread on the list, before you even click it, you can always look to the far right, where it gives the date of the last response and the person who posted it. For instance, next to this one it says "Today 07:41 PM by Obsidian". You can check that before even reading the thread, and it doesn't even involve scrolling down the page to check. I don't think we need to make it much easier than that, as annoying as bumps can be.
