My brother never listens to me even when my parents tell him to listen. My mom says that if he doesn't listen to me I should tell her and she will take care of it but when I tell her she says I need to take care of it myself except I can't cause he won't listen to me. What do I do?

I can't make him listen. Every time I try he says he does not want to and he threatens to beat me up. He his muuuuuch stronger than me.

I have done both, he just gets mad at me and doesn't talk to me for a couple days.

well, i will tell him that he should be doing and he will give a lot of excuses why he can't. then if i ignore him, he gets mad and won't talk to me for a week. if i do the same thing he does he just starts getting mad and yells at me. if i try explaining why i tell him to do things, he forgets what i said by the next day. also, if i try to tell his dad, his dad will do nothing and if i tell my mom, she will tell me to handle it myself

If he get's mad, tell him that he never listens to what you have to say. So if he won't listen, that your just not going to talk to him and if he doesn't like it, that he should listen more often.

Well, he sounds pretty immature. What you need to do is really try and tell your mom. I'm sure if you really emphasise it to her, she'll do something about it. She can't always blow it off.

update. i talked to him about it and he kind of laughed it off. the next morning he came over to me and apologized. he said he knows how i feel and he promised to try to listen to me more. thanks for all the advice
