So i just got a new laptop, and i'm really excited, but also stubborn and really impatient. XD
I put in the correct wireless key, and then it pops up and says something along the lines of internet connection unsucessful. it tells me i am connected to the wireless alright but i'm on limited connectivity.
i dont understand what the problem is >< the wireless is working on my other computer, and i tired going right down beside the wireless so its not signal strength, i even re-set the wireless.
I've tried every solution windows has given me, any ideas anyone?

Have you updated all the drivers using Windows Update yet? That might help.

See if the computer can connect at all, use an Ethernet cord to see if it can connect

Have to be connected to the internet to do that.

This is usually caused by a IP configuration problem.
The easiest way for you to fix it is to right click on the network icon in Windows, and then click on 'Troubleshoot Problems'.
The troubleshooter wizard will guide you through the process.

Good point :P
Best chance is to connect with a wire then update it.

I HIGHLY doubt it's a driver issue.
If it's a new laptop, chances are it has a proper working driver.
And seeing as I've actually seen this issue before, I believe it's an IP configuration problem, and that the Windows Network troubleshooter can fix it, as I stated in my previous post.

Theres no need to get all pissy about it, I'm just offering advice.

If you're using Firefox, go to "Tools>Options>Advanced" and make sure the checkbox "Check spelling as I type" is checked.

If you're using Internet Explorer 7, or 8, you'll need to download an addon for IE called 'IE7Pro'.
You can find it here (http://ie7pro.com/).
After you install it, you will need to re-start IE. After IE is back open, you'll need to go to "Tools>IE7Pro Preferences" and make sure the checkbox "Spell checker" is checked.

And @ Jack, I WAS NOT getting pissy about it, in fact, I stayed pretty professional in that post. I was enforcing my opinion of what the issue was because I've actually seen the problem in the field. Whereas it seemed as if you were pulling the Windows Update idea out of thin air.
(Please do not respond to this in this thread, if you have something else to say, PM me)
