My parents kill me for not answering my phone. I drink and smoke pot and would be grounded until i moved out if my parents found out. I want to be able to without getting caught or having to be paranoid all the time. I dont do any of these things often but when i do im totally paranoid and would like my parents to know of my decision but id be destroyed. My friend's parents are totally cool with him drinking and smoking. How the hell does he do it?!

Well, maybe you should try and stop doing these things, at least until you move out, then you won't have to be paranoid, and it will be better for your health.

Your parents are acting with your best interests at hand, one day you will realise that. As with how your friends parents act, different people have different views and tolerance levels towards things.

Also you should learn that all actions have consequences and if you cant face them do not do it. Don't drink or take drugs if you cannot deal with or accept the punishment for doing so.

The best way to not get caught, is to not do it. You'll have to eventually grow up, and when you do, you'll see your parent's were right to try to prevent you from using that vile garbage. Eventually, you'll have to become responsible.

Your friends parents are doing their child a favor, they are causing him serious damage for the future.

You have loving parents, who dont want to fuck you up. Your friends parents sound very irresponsible, because they let their child drink and smoke.

Just be careful. The first word of your subject for this post ('illegal') means you know that what you're doing is against the law. Getting in trouble with your parents is one thing, but you don't want to get in legal trouble on top of that.

Well you should feel lucky that your parents care enough about you that they don't want you doing illegal activities like drinking and smoking weed. It may seem that your friend's parents are way more cooler but they are not very good parents if they allow their son to do illegal activities.

Agreed. You should find ways to get out of drugs and drinking. Maybe your friend isn't such a good influences to be around, nor his parents.

I'm sure your friend doesn't do anything special. People are all different and it goes without saying that some people are more lenient about their child using certain drugs. Personally, I'd be more willing to be with the parents who are stricter about it because assuming I had the desire to do the drugs, the stricter parents could prevent that desire from occurring in reality, which in the long-term would be beneficial. You appear to have parents who are concerned for your physical well-being, which is what any good parent should be.

Your being way too logical heh

Those would have to be some really strict parents to keep their drug interested son away from drugs

After all.. For most teenagers who are stupid ( 99% of them ) things that their parents don't approve of MUST be done

My advice is to stop if you can, and if not, do some good research and see if you can work up a good argument in case you are caught.

In some cases, yes, I fell that the laws get stricter, but there's a reason for that. Laws are in place for a reason, and just because we may not agree with them doesn't mean we don't still have to follow them. Also, please proofread your posts, as the spelling mistakes can get a bit annoying.

I assume you're pretty young.

Respect your parents. Whether it seems like it or not, they are looking out for you. At your age Alcohol and drugs are pretty tempting. They are making sure you handle your business in life, and don't run astray and get sidetracked. No matter how responsible you think you are, I can assure you that your parents do know what's best. All that other stuff that you want to do. Believe me, it will be available plenty much throughout your life. But as long as you live under your parents' roof, you should respect them

I'm not going to call your friend's parents irresponsible, but they are a totally separate case. Let them worry about their child, and let your parents worry about you. You waste time being caught up with what other do. Worry about yourself

your parents are concerned about your well being you need to understand that
when im a parent i will encourage my kids to stop but will not punish them for it.
