Be it the computing teacher who HONESTLY believes that man kind will be wiped out in 3 years due to global warming, or the RME teacher who spends 90% of her time on Facebook, our school is swarming with bad teachers.

How about your school?

yeah my school is turning the same way all of the good teachers are starting to retire leaving us with a new wave of little girls fresh out of Uni who don't know shit about teaching, which is extremely annoying. I'm just glad i'm in 6th form now so we only get the experienced, know what there doing, smart people lol

"Those who can't do, teach. Those who can't teach, teach PE."

I go to an independent school, and with the exception of one of my chemistry teachers, who is ANCIENT and a little bit crazy, they are all really good teachers, and much better and more motivated then any of the teachers i ever had in my 6 years of state secondary school.

My favourite teacher is my Physics teacher. He is old school Christian, but he is Really good, fair and quite funny on occasion. I'd say that there are about half and half good to bad teachers.

Oh and I wasn't joking about the teacher who thinks humanity is going to end in 3 years due to global warming.

Haha, what's gym class??

I had the CRAZIEST teachers ever at my old school.

One old chemistry teacher once gave us a whole class after school detention for stealing her handbag, when she had left it in the staffroom, through her handbag out of the window when someone told her there was a bomb in it, used to stand up on the table and do the cheeky girls dance and would randomly impersonate her cats fighting.

She was a legend though!

My school is swarminggggggg with bad teachers.

One science teacher used to have a stuffed cat. And people would steal it, and he would become distraught. And insist that over the announcements someone would have to say "Whoever stole Fluffy the cat needs to return it ASAP." And he was hardly ever there. Probably absent at least once a week. One day, after students hung the cat from the ceiling, he left. He never came back. Not joking.

7th grade social studies teacher. Football, hunting, fishing, baseball, his sons. Mention ANY of those, or skiing sometimes, and you have at least one day free. You don't do anything. You get homework once a week, and if he checks it, he glances at it. No one did anything after the first assignment. If you ask a question related to Social Studies, he will answer kind of, but then move on to more important things. FOOTBALL. And hunting and fishing and whatnot.

My Earth Science teacher!!!!!!!! Yay! Death threats. Blank stares when you answer a question, or wait! My favorite! He sits at his desk and play Fantasy Baseball! Yay!

7th grade English, my class was her first year there. We did whatever we wanted. And she let us. People would say "Can we relate this to video games?" Next day, we're playing video games. "How does this song relate to the book we are reading" she would ask. Someone would say "It doesn't!" and we'd move on.

My high school was fortunate some years and unfortunate other years as I had teachers who are awful, mediocre and amazing. Overall though, if you averaged them all out, it'd have been decent.

At university, you'll find that the professors are much more competent. They lack a teacher degree (don't need one), however, their knowledge of the subjects they teach squashes that of the high school teachers.

I didn't have teachers who thought the world would end in a few years, although I did have a teacher who exaggerated her illness in order to fly to Jamaica. As a result, that course had numerous sub-teachers and only a few were actually familiar with the subject (French). Our accounting and economics teacher (same person) in grade 11 and 12, respectively, wasn't exactly the greatest because much of what she said a) made no sense or b) directly contradicted the textbook. That, and for a little project, we had to present it to the class and got marked if our powerpoint or bristol board had all nice, bright pretty colours, flowers, etc... .

I think that many teachers who are supposed 'bad teachers' are actually seen in the wrong light in one of two ways:

There's the fact that, if you don't kid yourself, deep down 90% of kids hate school, want to be out of that classroom, and thus only *like* the teachers that are extraordinarily awesome, do fun stuff, goof off, etc.

Other teachers just get to the point where they give up on a class, because the majority of kids are so damn horrible. It's sad, but true.

I have only never had one bad teacher. Granted I only went to school for two years, but between me and my three siblings, no one has anybody to complain about other than my 8th grade gym teacher.

He was a horror. He chose people and delberately picked on them (me being one of them). He made people do violent things, was harsh, gave everyone horrible grades.. it was bad. Everyone in town pretty much hates him.

Other than that, though, all my teachers are fine. I've had two teachers who have come straight from university to a school I've been in... and I can say they are definitely some of the better ones because they are new, have the will to go at it, are excited, and generally they do a pretty good job.

I never hold my teacher's to standards that are absurd because let's face it, they're dealing with a class of 30 kids, 20 of which are probably horrible. For that kind of work, I think we greatly under-appreciate the teachers who put so much work in to teach us.

I have one teacher this year who is fresh from Uni, and isn't half bad. She needs to narrow down her teaching, though. She goes over each topic a bunch of different ways, to make sure everyone "gets it". Kinda annoying:P.

I have had only one teacher who I would qualify as "bad".

All the others were either satisfactory, good or awesome.

In the two years I've attended this high school so far... every teacher I've had has either been really good or, at the worst, just a bit boring. Score?

I've had some amazing teachers over the years

First history teacher - very educated, would discuss with you, explain it, broad minded and so on however he couldn't keep order in class.

2nd History teacher - Even more educated, her own research, would discuss with you, explain it and have you analyze people in history if possible, very broad minded views, could keep order in class, also teaches sociology.

First best home language teacher - Best orthography teacher imaginable, very strict her class was always studying at least, she taught based on the school program and her very own program incorporated into the school one, her students got some of the best results in the country, she could be very difficult to get along with however but she was understanding if she knew the entire story.

Second home language teacher - Excellent orthography, amazing ways of explaining things bringing humor, examples, using some sort of funny & stupid phrase to illustrate a point, also capable of keeping a class in order.

Biology, geography teacher - One of my absolute favorite teachers! Smart, knew what she was talking about, made things interesting, could explain it and also made her students score well, kept great order in class, very honest & rough gradings ( you could really appreciate it if you got a good grade from her and my biology was A x.x ) a lot of stuff about her that made her great including the fact that she did environmental work and so on and on...

Also shop class teacher! - Epic lol I am not a shop class dude but just because of his personality I have to list him.. You know those guys who say don't screw around and make their rules for shop class.. Well he did all that but it wasn't because of his job or responsibility it was because of his personality xD its impossible to describe what his like but I'll say this; you didn't f around in shop class.

Well I left one out.. My last maths teacher.. Without her I wouldn't have graduated.. I kind of hated her well she made you hate her.. But yeah great teacher and class teacher.... Completely her own person and could keep order in class.

I'd classify all teachers who can't keep order in class bad.

Like chemistry teacher.. On top of always smelling VERY bad her class was ludicrous!! Spit balls flying around, people pushing each other off of chairs, blatantly not doing shit and there were some occasions stuff was burnt, fighting was going on and so on, on top of this they always insulted her..

But on the matter of teaching I can't remember anyone outright bad.. Just a lot of people that were and still are very strange to me or close minded.. But someone outright bad and useless.. Doesn't come to mind

I've had a few bad teachers but some were not that bad.
There's my old Geography teacher, he is awful my friend still has him now. He doesn't actually teach anything he just gives you the book and says "Read chapter 2 and do the questions" It doesn't help anyone learn and it gives him a free period.
Then my current Biology teacher, he is quite good when he actually teaches but he's hardly ever there. Also I know for a fact that he talks about his students to the other teachers.
Oh and my other old geagraphy teacher.. was scared of us. This was because a class in my year had locked him in the supply cupboard so he was always shakey and nervous about what we would do next. One time we did some homework and I hardly did it except from a quick scribble in the morning, so he said "What grade do you think you deserve?" I said A, and he wrote it down xD I said it as a joke. :P

But saying that I have had some amazing teachers.

Most of my teachers are good. They have a blocker on their Internet, so no matter how you connect on any computer, you can't do anything. Which makes the teachers have to teach us.

Last year I HATED my Intro to Computers teacher. Its a class that we have to take Freshman year. I didn't learn anything that I didn't already know. And if I went ahead because I actually knew what I was doing, she'd yell at me, then make me start over.

My English teacher can't teach, but he's awesome, so he's good :P.

Last year, my Geography teacher would teach us, get bored, then show us funny videos on Youtube. But for some reason, everybody got great grades in his class.

My Biology teacher is obsessed with Macs and birds. So she gets off topic a lot during class, then I don't learn anything and fail the tests.

Other than that, the rest of my teachers are pretty normal :D
