Couple things to think about here real quick:

How much space do you honestly need? 500 gb is enough to last a lifetime... Unless you're like, downloading full movies or something (That's still a crapload of space).

It is really easy to clear out a ton of the space you have on your hard drive already. I have a 160 GB HD, and I've partitioned it half and half, so with 80 GB I still have 40-ish and really have everything I'll ever need... with a bit of cleaning you could have plenty of space, meaning no money spent.

(For future reference, it isn't 'gps' it's 'GBs', which stands for Gigabytes)

If you're really using THAT much space for games, go above 100. The price for the 500 gb drive is actually pretty low, and quite a deal if you compare it to the price of a 160~ one. Spring for the one with a warranty... it's barely more expensive, and a three year warranty is great.

I'd go with the Western Digital one. Good brand, I currently have a 80GB Western Digital in my laptop, and have no problems, that originate from the hard drive anyway :P.

And its a desktop hard drive you are looking at, just to let you know, it won't work in a laptop.

Btw 500gb wont last a lifetime. Last year I upgraded from 160gb to 1tb (1000gb), I've already used about 450gb!

Jeez, unless you got like shitloads of videos/music/games you really dont need 500gb. 250 would do.

Go for the 500GB because you never know if you'll need it. You play a lot of games so get at least 250GB but the 500GB is a nice security blanket. Space can get sucked up fast depending on what you do. But if your going to be downloading movies get the 500GB.
