So I'll post the lyrics.
All around me are familar faces, worn out places, worn out faces.
Bright and early for the daily races
Going nowhere
Going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses,
No expression, no expression.
Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow,
No tomorrow, no tomorrow.
And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad,
The dreams in which I'm dyin' are the best I've ever had.
And I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take,
That when people run in circles, it's a very very
Mad world.
Mad world.
Children waiting for the day they feel good,
Happy birthday, happy birthday,
When they feel the way that every child should,
Sit and listen, sit and listen.
Went to school and I was very nervous,
No one knew me, no one knew me.
Hello teacher, tell me what's my lesson?
Look right through me, look right through me.
And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad,
The dreams in which I'm dyin' are the best I've ever had.
And I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take,
That when people run in circles, it's a very very
Mad world.
Mad world.
Enlarged in your world.
Mad world.

Hmmm, shouldn't this go in the 4th Wall? I'll leave it up to the moderators to decide.

OMG!!! theres this one song that just hits me so badly called "With Arms Wide open" cuz like i met this girl that is my moms friends friends daughter and we went skiing up in Breckenridge and we had the ski lift to ourselves and the song "with arms wide open" started playing and i had one of those ackward moments. And thats the story of the first time i ever really fell in love and i still like that girl i met. (PS this happened only 4 weeks ago.)
Well I just heard
the news today
seems my life
is gonna change
i close my eyes
begin to pray
then tears of joy
stream down my face
with arms wide open
under the sunlight
welcome to this place ill show u everything
with arms wide open
with arms wide open
well i dont know
if im ready
to be the man
im have to be
i take a breath
i take her by my side
with arms wide open!
under the sunlight
welcome to this place
ill show u everything
with arms wide open
now everything has changed
ill show u love
ill show u everything
with arms wide open
with arms wide open
ill show u everything
with arms wide open
wide open
*guitar break*
if i have just one wish
only one demand
i hope hes not like me
i hope he understands
that he can take thi slife
and hold it by her hand
and he can brig the world with arms wide open
with arms wide open
under the sunlight
welcome to this place ill show you everything
with arms wide open
now eveything has changed
ill show u love
ill show u everythng
with arsm wide open
ill show u everything
with arms wide open
wide open....

This thread is about songs that impact people deeply right?
A song that means alot to me is Boondocks, a country song sang by Little Big Town. Here's the lyrics:
(Chorus:)
I feel no shame
I'm proud of where I came from
I was born and raised in the boondocks
One thing I know
No matter where I go
I keep my heart and soul in the boondocks
And I can feel
That muddy water running through my veins
And I can hear that lullaby of a midnight train
It sings to me and it sounds familiar
(Chorus)
And I can taste
That honeysuckle and it's still so sweet
When it grows wild
On the banks down at old camp creek
Yeah, and it calls to me like a warm wind blowing
(Chorus)
It's where I learned about living
It's where I learned about love
It's where I learned about working hard
and getting by with just enough
It's where I learned about Jesus
And knowing where I stand
You can take it or leave it, this is me
This is who I am
Give me a tin roof
A front porch and a gravel road
And that's home to me
It feels like home to me
(Chorus)
I keep my heart and soul in the boondocks
You get a line, I'll get a pole
We'll go fishing in the crawfish hole
Five-card poker on a Saturday night
Church on Sunday morning
(2x)
You get a line, I'll get a pole
We'll go fishing in the crawfish hole
(Down in the boondocks)
Five-card poker on a Saturday night
Church on Sunday morning
Say a little prayer for me
This song means alot to me because it just seems like I was born and raised in the boondocks. My mom was, and she told me about all of the things mentioned in the song. It seems like I have been in the boondocks all this time. Yet i'm stuck moving into an apartment in the hot hot summer. I love this song and it's my favorite of all. My mom was born and raised in the boondocks, so I have muddy water runnin' through my vains too.
