I've been depressed for like 3 years, like not constantly down but like I literaly have not felt extremly happy in over 3 years. it started when I entered middle school, I was in a horrible school were everyday there were brutal beatings, massive fights, and kids were using drugs / having sex in the bathrooms, cause the teachers have their own bathroom, but even if they didn't, the teachers didn't care, they never did anything, the only one time I saw them take action to expell a kid from school was when he brought a BB gun and threatend to shoot kids. Durring that year I developed horrible stomach issues due to constant stress I was going to get killed (I got like 4 death threats) and so I stopped going, and then I started 7th grade in a new school, but my stomach was so bad I had to get a home tutor because I was so sick I couldn't go classes. When I was supposed to go to 8 grade, the teachers said I didn't have enought time witht the tutor to pass 7th grade, so I repeated it, which cause the kids my age to think im weird cause I dissapeared from school after two weeks, and the kids in the 7th grade thought I was weird cause I was 14 and in the 12-13 year old class. I get constantly bullied, I would take action and beat their ass but if I do anything else, they will like expell me, and I have problems with my family wich causes me to not go home until I go to bed, I hate my life, I hate the world, and the 1 and only person who was actualy nice to me in the school im in now, I like developed a big crush on her, but she probably just feels bad for me and she just dosent want me to fell even worse because she is the only nice person I've ever met in my teenage years so far. I am now finaly starting 8th grade with her as my only friend, and all the bullies are coming back again this year.
Any suggestions how to get rid of depression?

Fear can cause a lot of stress, and therefore depression can result.
Just always keep in mind that you are not alone! Countless teenagers suffer from depression (myself included). Every situation is different, but the emotions involved are the same.
If there aren't a lot of people your age, are there any adults that you can talk to about all of this? A teacher, a school counselor, maybe a religious figure of some sort (if you're religious)? It often helps to be able to talk to an adult, especially one who went through a similar situation. You could even talk to your doctor about it during your next checkup.
I know you said you have family problems, but would it be at all plausible for you to talk to your parents about this? Maybe they wouldn't be able to help you too much, but perhaps they would be able to get you in to see a counselor or a psychiatrist.
Remember that depression is a disease, it's not who you are!

Middle school sucks, man. I feel your pain.
If this is what your life is like now, however, I feel you should go see a counselor.

it sounds to me like your focusing on the bad and how terrible your school life is, try to have a different outlook even though it may be tough and not feel genuine. Fake it til you make it

As much as i hate to admit but you guys are SO WRONG middle school doesn't always have to suck... Did you even try finding friends... Try working things out with your school mates im sure they will understand. I just started high school (middle school call it whatever you like) Try to get it together you can't just be like that for the next few Years it's just too long and it will get you even worse... Trust me i felt the same way about Elementary School :S :(

Middle school wasn't the biggest help to me, however, this works for me now: Find some music that you can relate to. Also, meditate. Its surprising how much a simple thing like meditation can help. Keep pushing on.

Middle school can be a real bummer. I remember when I was in middle school, I used to get beat up and picked on. But remember, if you stoop to their level, and make fun of them like they make fun of you, you are no better than they are. Alot of time when bullies pick on people, it's because they are afraid of change. They see you as a threat so they have to put you in your place. As for your problems at home, I can't help you there, other than to say that if they are physical problems (ie. abuse, violence, or even repetitive verbal abuse) I suggest you talk to the School Resource Officer. (If you do not have one, talk to your guidance counselor. I can relate to you. I moved around alot when I was your age, and had IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) which is what it sounds like you have, and it was by no means easy. But I pushed through, sometimes crying myself to sleep at night. The whole time I thought to myself "I am going to amount to something one day, I'll show him" and I am still on the right path :)
If you ever need someone to talk to, just pm me. I'll be here for you.
