A D is good!

Don't fret about it!

And maths (especially in year 10) is a really really REALLY stupid thing to cut yourself over.

Maths sucks! It really does! I failed it, but I blame it on my teacher ;)

Do you mean SATs ? well to be honest getting a D on a SAT is not that bad because from that it will help you learn and when you start GCSEs there the results that really matter because all the SATs do is put you in groups for yr 10
---
take a step back and think is it really worth it cutting over a bad grade? You just have to work hard in yr 10 to get the results you want...you dont need this

your school is different to mine then...
You dont need punishing thats just you mind controlling you..you need to make it listen to you and keep strong.. try to distract yourself from cutting with writing or running or something like that.

Friend speaks my mind :)

If you feel really bad about it, then you can re-take. But that takes too much time and effort for my liking! I'd would have been chuffed to get a D in maths!

I get a D now, in year 11 hah. Maths has never been a strong subject for me. But to get a D in year nine, i'd be pretty proud of that. You shouldn't feel like you have to punish yourself, try be happy about your grade :)

In my opinion, getting a D at that time is really good!
Just think, if you keep working and studying hard you'll improve before you know it.

You don't deserve the grief of cutting over something like this. Your mind is feeding you lies to hurt and damage yourself.
If you really feel the need to "punish" yourself then maybe you could revise or do extra school work as a punishment instead? :)
You'll benefit so much more from that than you would cutting.

You're school sounds horrid, putting kids through that many GCSE's in year 9!! That's outrageous!

My old school used to do that, and it wasn't for the kids benefit at all, but it was so it could get more funding and therefore give the headmaster a higher salary.

If anything it's the system which should be punished, not you. You did nothing wrong at all. In fact you did very well!!
