Whilst it's normal for hair to shed from the body, it doesn't normally happen in such large amounts. If you're worried about how much has come out, go and see your doctor and see what they think.
And in response to your above question; whilst hair won't grow back if you've removed the follicle of it, there will still be hundreds of follicles remaining on your skin so enough hair should re-grow.

Blame it on hormones, and STOP PULLING IT OUT!
You could even have a skin condition, been itchy or red at all recently?

Well I did a little reshearch and I think It's a disease called "white piedra," If I'm correct. But, this could happen for many reasons. You may be lacking viateims (sorry about spelling), rare reasons. But what ever it is, I pretty sure it should go away.
Have you been doing any thing different or something, that's all i can suggest.
If this has just started happening, then just wait a week or two and see what happens.
If this has been happening for a mouth or 2, you should see a doctor right away.

I would definitely talk to your doctor. You weren't really clear on whether you were physically plucking it out, or if it was already coming out on its own. In either case, it's not healthy to pull it out yourself. Stop pulling it out and talk to a doctor as soon as possible.

I would recommend going to see a doctor. But to be honest I just think its a fairly normal thing.

Go to a doctor just to make sure. It doesn't seem dangerous though.

Well, your hair usually tends to fall out over time, but not 510 hairs at one time. You should really see a doctor because that is probably really bad... just saying. See a doctor...

While hair does fall out at a constant rate it doesn't happen in such a large amount. It is possible that something happened recently and this is a one time spook thing that will go away. As far as regrowth, if it is a spook thing that only happens once then you should be fine. If it isn't and there is something wrong it is possible that hair has stopped growing there. Have you noticed this happening anywhere else on you body. I suggerst you stop pulling it out for awhile and see what happens. I hope you weren't ripping it and that it was just kind of loose and fell away as you tuched it. If I were you I would see a doctor no matter what you read on the internet. This is a normal everyday occurence with guys and a doctor may have something that can reverse it or stop it if something is wrong.

See a doctor. It isn't normal for so much hair to fall out at once. Even thought they re-grow, it is a slightly slow process which takes time, but if you are pulling hairs faster than you can re-grown them, then there is something wrong.

i had that exact same problem when i was younger. Not with pubic hair though, just the hair on my head.. i had quite a few bald spots. i would twist it up and pull it out. its a form of ocd. eventually you will concentrate on different things and end up forgetting about it. hopefully.
- everytime my friends or family seen me doing it, they told me to stop and i eventually just forgot.
